Willow Bough Mineral/Woad

Willow Bough Mineral/Woad combines a cool mineral blue-grey ground with densely branching woad-blue foliage and pale, softly contrasting leaves. The muted palette gives the botanical pattern a quietly atmospheric character.

About this fabric

At 328gsm, this substantial fabric is suited to both upholstery and drapery, with a 137cm usable width. The fine leafy branches form a 42cm vertical repeat by 22cm horizontal repeat, creating a small-scale, closely patterned surface rather than an open motif. In this colourway, slate-w blue foliage sits against the mineral ground, while pale leaf details lift the design without making it feel bright. The specification records 127 threads per cm and a standard length of 50m.

How to use it

Use the cool mineral-blue ground on a reading chair, bench or full-length curtains, where its pale foliage can soften deeper blue, grey or natural timber schemes. Its restrained contrast also works well as a patterned counterpoint to plain linens in warm ivory or stone.

A cool, muted botanical that brings gentle pattern and depth to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Willow Bough Mineral/Woad without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
