Rosehip Linen/Ecru

Little Book of Morris Fabrics FabricMOF0061-04

Rosehip Linen/Ecru pairs a warm, lightly textured ecru ground with closely spaced taupe leafy stems. The low-contrast botanical pattern reads softly across the full swatch, with the pale ground keeping the colourway airy rather than stark.

About this fabric

This 300gsm Morris & Co. fabric has a 137cm usable width and a 34cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. Fine, even surface texture is visible beneath the small branching vines, while the taupe foliage shifts gently against the warm ecru background. The restrained contrast gives the colourway a quiet, relaxed character, with enough pattern definition to remain legible without dominating a room. Its 49 threads per centimetre contribute to the neat, closely detailed appearance of the design.

How to use it

Use Rosehip Linen/Ecru where a room needs a warm pale base rather than a bright white: it suits relaxed curtains, blinds, occasional upholstery or a softly patterned chair. Pair the ecru ground with natural timber, oatmeal textiles and taupe or mushroom accents to draw out the foliage tones.

A warm ecru ground and softly muted taupe foliage bring gentle pattern to upholstery, curtains and blinds.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Rosehip Linen/Ecru without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
