About this fabric
This colourway is defined by layered floral medallions, curling leaves and fine symmetrical tendrils picked out in pale blue, with deeper woad marks adding definition across the design. Its 288 gsm weight and 35.8 threads per cm give the cloth a substantial mid-weight presence suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 140 cm usable width offers generous coverage, while the pattern repeats every 40.5 cm vertically and 46.5 cm horizontally. Against the cool white ground, the blue artwork reads crisp and detailed rather than warm or heavily saturated.
How to use it
Use Simply Severn Woad to lighten a formal armchair, headboard or pair of curtains, especially alongside chalky whites, pale woods and soft grey-blue upholstery. Its deeper blue details can be echoed in piping, cushions or painted furniture for a more coordinated scheme.
