Simply Strawberry Thief Slate/Vellum

Simply Strawberry Thief Slate/Vellum layers slate-blue birds, scrolling florals and fine foliage over a pale vellum ground. The cool, softened palette gives the densely patterned surface a light, weathered character.

About this fabric

The design is filled with repeated birds, stylised flowers and curling botanical details, with slate blue providing the strongest definition against the creamy vellum background. Taupe-grey linework and muted blue accents soften the contrast, so the pattern feels intricate without appearing brightly saturated. At 188 gsm, the fabric has a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery, while its 138.5 cm usable width supports generous cutting layouts. The pattern repeats every 53.5 cm vertically and 46 cm horizontally, and the fabric is specified at 47.2 threads per cm.

How to use it

Pair this cool slate-and-vellum colourway with chalky whites, weathered oak and soft grey-blue upholstery. It works especially well on relaxed curtains or a statement armchair where the birds and scrolling florals can be appreciated across the full repeat.

Use the cool slate-blue and pale vellum palette to bring layered Morris pattern to curtains, cushions or occasional upholstery.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Simply Strawberry Thief Slate/Vellum without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
