Daisy & Oak Madder/Teal

The Unfinished Works Fabrics FabricMOF0251-03

Daisy & Oak Madder/Teal pairs a pale cream ground with repeating sprays of cool teal leaves, coral-red flowers and muted ochre flowerheads. The closely arranged botanical pattern has a softly vintage, tapestry-like character in this colourway.

About this fabric

This 239gsm fabric has a 137.2cm usable width and a 35.9cm vertical by 45.7cm horizontal pattern repeat. Fine teal stems and leaves create a cool framework across the cream ground, while coral-red blossoms add brighter points of colour and the ochre motifs bring warmth without overpowering the design. At 38 threads per centimetre, the surface reads as a finely woven, detailed textile rather than a loose or rustic cloth. The repeated floral structure is substantial enough to register clearly on upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery.

How to use it

In a room with chalky walls or warm timber, use this Madder/Teal colourway on a reading chair, roman blind or full-length curtains. Echo the muted ochre in small accents and let the cool teal foliage provide the stronger grounding note.

Use the cool teal foliage and warm madder-red flowers to bring measured colour to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
