About this fabric

The face is covered with closely spaced diamond motifs, each built from pale blue, greyed ivory and darker indigo threads. Its dark ground reads cooler in the blue flecks and warmer where the plum-brown tones come through, giving the pattern considerable depth without becoming bright. The visible weave has a compact, tactile appearance suited to a mid-weight textile for upholstery or drapery. No composition, width or rub-test information has been supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Franklin - Indigo to bring depth to an occasional chair, headboard or pair of curtains, balancing its dark indigo-plum ground with pale neutrals and weathered timber. The small-scale pattern works particularly well where a detailed textile is wanted without a large, dominant motif.

A richly coloured geometric weave for upholstery or drapery where a dark, patterned accent is wanted.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
