About this fabric

The design is filled with overlapping leafy stems and small botanical sprigs, with grey-blue foliage standing out against the dark blue background and ochre leaves adding restrained warmth. Its 224 gsm weight gives this colourway a substantial mid-weight presence, making it suitable for both upholstery and drapery. With a 137 cm usable width, the repeated foliage can be planned across generous fabric widths. The vertical repeat is 64 cm and the horizontal repeat is 68.5 cm, preserving the dense, all-over rhythm seen across the swatch.

How to use it

Use Mercia Ink to bring cool depth to a study, snug or bedroom, pairing its ink-blue ground with warm timber, aged brass and plain grey-blue upholstery. Ochre cushions or lampshades can pick up the warmer leaf accents without competing with the botanical repeat.

A cool, layered botanical in deep ink blue, softened by grey-blue leaves and warm ochre accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
