Bellis Blue Clay

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0328-01

Bellis Blue Clay has a fresh blue-green ground that lets the hand-drawn floral motif read clearly without feeling heavy. The repeated tree-like sprigs and small white-and-gold blooms give the fabric a calm, airy rhythm.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from A Celebration of the National Trust has a substantial 410 gsm weight and a 130 cm usable width, so it sits comfortably in a mid-weight decorating range. The design shows a soft blue-green ground with repeated botanical clusters, where slender green stems, white petals and warm golden centres create a crisp but gentle contrast. Teal-toned leaves add a cooler note and keep the colourway feeling clean rather than sugary. With a 40 cm vertical repeat and 43 cm horizontal repeat, the motif has enough scale to make an impact on seating or window treatments without becoming overwhelming. The 34 threads per cm give the cloth a fine, woven definition that suits its tidy embroidered-look patterning.

How to use it

Use Bellis Blue Clay on an armchair, bench cushion or full-length curtains to bring a fresh, measured colour into a room. It pairs especially well with pale timber, chalky neutrals and other blue-green accents.

Use it for statement upholstery or curtains where the fresh blue-green ground can keep a room feeling light.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bellis Blue Clay without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
