Honey Flowers Anise/Slate
A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0332-01
Honey Flowers Anise/Slate pairs a pale ground with a loose watercolor scatter of leaves and flowers in anise green, slate blue and soft yellow. The result feels airy and garden-fresh, with just enough depth in the darker petals to keep the design grounded.

About this fabric
This Sanderson fabric from A Celebration of the National Trust is a 236 gsm textile with a 141 cm usable width, so it has enough substance to sit comfortably across both upholstery and drapery applications. The motif is a large-scale botanical trail, with washed greens, muted slate accents and warm yellow petal forms floating over a soft off-white ground. Its 74.1 threads per cm suggest a closely woven cloth, which helps the painterly print keep its crisp edges and gentle tonal layering. The colourway feels brighter and cooler than a typical herbaceous floral, with the anise notes lifting the design and the slate bringing a calm, slightly dusky contrast.
How to use it
Use it to bring a light, springlike note to a sofa, occasional chair or relaxed curtain scheme, especially where the pale ground can reflect natural light. It pairs well with painted wood, pale oak and quieter blues or greens that echo the slate and leaf tones.
Fresh anise and slate tones keep the painterly trail light and easy to live with.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Honey Flowers Anise/Slate without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
