Kingfisher & Iris Navy/Teal

A Celebration of the National Trust FabricSAF0333-01

This navy and teal colourway sets kingfishers and iris blooms against a deep midnight ground, giving the print a vivid, jewel-toned contrast. The design feels crisp and elegant, with the birds and stems standing out sharply from the dark background.

About this fabric

Kingfisher & Iris Navy/Teal from A Celebration of the National Trust by Sanderson is a printed fabric with a 140 cm usable width, a 64 cm vertical repeat and a 70 cm horizontal repeat. At 236 gsm, it sits in a versatile mid-weight range that suits both upholstery and drapery. The surface reads as a smooth printed cloth rather than a heavy pile, letting the fine botanical detailing stay clear. The navy base is very deep and cool, while the kingfishers add bright turquoise and pale aqua flashes that lift the whole design. Cream flowers and olive-green stems keep the scheme balanced and give it a classic, decorative finish.

How to use it

Use it for an occasional chair, ottoman or full-length curtains where the dark ground can anchor a room. It pairs especially well with painted wood, warm brass and pale neutrals that pick out the teal and ivory notes.

A richly coloured statement cloth that works well on feature chairs or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
