About this fabric

This fabric is part of Porter & Stone’s Shimmer FR collection and is supplied at 140cm wide with a 34cm vertical repeat and 35.5cm horizontal repeat. The composition of 95% polyester and 5% lurex gives the cloth its subtle sparkle, which shows up here as soft coppery highlights against the deep blue ground. Visually, the colourway feels rich and cool rather than bright, with the lurex lifting the surface just enough to stop the indigo from looking flat. The tight, all-over textured effect gives it the look of a lively mid-weight textile that will hold interest across larger upholstered pieces or window schemes.

How to use it

This indigo colourway works well where you want depth without heaviness, especially alongside pale oak, chalky neutrals or aged brass. It can add a tailored, slightly jewel-toned note to a sofa, armchair or lined curtain.

Use with warm woods or brushed brass to bring out the subtle metallic flicker.
