About this fabric

This Shimmer FR fabric by Porter & Stone is woven in a 95% polyester and 5% lurex composition, giving the cloth its subtle metallic glint and lively surface. At 140cm wide, it is a practical fabric for statement upholstery pieces where the compact pattern repeat of 34cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal will matter. In Rosso, the red reads as a rich claret-wine tone with a darker, earthy depth, while the lurex thread breaks it up with scattered gold highlights. The result is a small-scale abstract texture that feels smart and substantial, with enough shimmer to add movement without becoming flashy. Care instruction NQT1< should be followed to preserve the finish and texture.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, banquette or ottoman where the red base can anchor the room. It sits especially well with walnut, oxblood leather, antique brass and warm neutral walls.

Pair with dark timber and brass for a rich, tailored look.
