Aril`s Garden Teal/Russet

Aril’s Garden Teal/Russet pairs a fresh cream ground with a painterly garden scene in teal blue, russet and soft coral accents. Birds, curling branches and scattered blossoms give the design a lively but graceful feel.

About this fabric

This Arboretum Fabrics design from Sanderson is a patterned fabric with a usable width of 137 cm and a vertical repeat of 70.9 cm, so the trail of branches and birds has room to unfold across larger drops or tailored panels. The 252 gsm weight and 38 threads per cm suggest a substantial, versatile cloth that can work for both upholstery and drapery. In this colourway, the teal leaves read clear and cool against the pale ground, while russet stems and warm flower notes stop it feeling too bright. The overall effect is airy and decorative, with enough body to hold the motif crisply.

How to use it

Use it to bring colour to a relaxed sitting room, particularly on a pair of statement curtains or a cushion-backed occasional chair. The teal and russet palette sits well with pale woods, cream paintwork and aged brass.

Let the airy cream ground and bird-and-blossom motif bring a lively, romantic feel to curtains or occasional upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Aril`s Garden Teal/Russet without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
