Arboretum Fabrics FabricSAF0143-05

About this fabric

Chestnut Tree Coral/Bayleaf from Sanderson’s Arboretum Fabrics is a woven fabric with a substantial 300gsm weight and 49 threads per cm, giving it a denser, more upholstery-friendly handle. The design shows slender chestnut branches in pale bark tones, carrying broad bayleaf-green leaves with muted olive shading and pink veining. Flower clusters rise through the repeat in coral, rose and faded raspberry, so the palette feels warm rather than bright and has a softly weathered depth against the light background. With a usable width of 140cm and a 74cm vertical repeat, the pattern has enough scale to make a statement on chairs, benches or structured soft furnishings.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, cushion set or window seat where the coral blossoms can lift a calm neutral scheme. It works especially well with cream paint, aged oak and restrained green accents.

Pair with warm natural woods and soft cream plains to let the blossom tones lead.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chestnut Tree Coral/Bayleaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
