About this fabric

This colourway reads as a highly saturated ink blue, dark enough to approach charcoal black in the deeper folds. The smooth-looking surface catches the light gently rather than producing a pronounced sheen, while the drape creates subtle tonal variation across the cloth. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rouen Denim for generous curtains or relaxed Roman blinds where its cool, almost-black blue can bring depth to a room without introducing a visible pattern. Pair it with pale neutrals or warm timber to soften the shade’s tailored character.

Use this deep ink-denim shade for full, softly gathered curtains in a darker, tailored scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
