About this colour

This colour reads as a muted warm neutral with a pale olive-beige cast, and the hex value #D9D2C0 keeps it soft rather than sharp. On a wall it reflects light gently, so it feels lifted without becoming bright, and the Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt finishes will all keep that calm, chalky-beige appearance true to the colour. In a north-facing room it can look a little cooler and more stone-like, with the green note coming forward; in south-facing light it warms up and feels more biscuit and linen. It sits well beside dark timber, aged brass and upholstery in moss, tobacco, ink blue or restrained natural tones.

How to use it

Use Lemongrass in a living room, hallway or study where you want a soft backdrop for painted joinery or bookcases. It works neatly with walnut, oak, tan leather and curtains or chairs in muted green, clay or deep navy.
