About this colour

This shade reads as a warm, mid-depth neutral with a balanced mix of grey, beige and a little brown, so it holds its shape on the wall without feeling heavy. In north-facing rooms it can lean cooler and more stone-like, with the grey coming forward and the warmth receding slightly. In south-facing light it softens and becomes fuller, taking on a gentler taupe-brown character while still absorbing more light than it reflects. It works well beside natural oak, dark walnut, blackened metal and upholstered pieces in cream, moss, charcoal or muted blue. In Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt, the colour stays grounded and understated across walls and woodwork.

How to use it

Cobblestone suits sitting rooms, hallways and study spaces where you want a calm backdrop for patterned curtains or upholstered furniture. It sits particularly well with painted joinery, oak furniture and deep-toned textiles in linen, wool or velvet.
