About this fabric

The ground reads as a soft charcoal and cool grey, overlaid with irregular vertical strokes in mossy olive, pale taupe, muted cream and restrained plum. Rather than forming a regular geometric repeat, the design has an expressive, broken rhythm that resembles distressed brushwork. The close-up image shows a tactile, mottled surface, with lighter marks catching against deeper charcoal and purple-grey passages. This subdued colour balance makes Monet Winter feel atmospheric and sophisticated rather than bright or highly saturated.

How to use it

Use Monet Winter on a tailored armchair, sofa or occasional seat where its cool grey base can anchor a room while olive and plum details echo natural, dusky accent colours. Pair it with smoked timber, aged metal and quiet neutral walls to retain its painterly mood.

Use this cool, painterly colourway to bring layered depth to contemporary upholstery and statement seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
