Rouen Spring

Monet Monet FabricROUENSPR

Rouen Spring brings together deep plum, olive green and charcoal marks over a broken white ground. Its repeating, ikat-style arrangement has a softly painterly edge, while the visible surface texture adds depth to the colour mix.

About this fabric

The pattern is built from mirrored, loosely geometric motifs, with dark charcoal shapes and plum accents set against olive and white passages. The palette reads cool and slightly smoky overall, with the olive highlights lifting the deeper purple and grey tones. A fine, tactile surface texture is visible across the swatch, giving the design a crafted rather than flat appearance. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rouen Spring to bring layered colour to a chair, headboard or pair of cushions, balancing its plum and olive detail with charcoal, warm white or natural wood. It also suits a scheme that needs pattern without a bright or highly saturated finish.

Pair the cool charcoal and white ground with olive accents and deep plum upholstery or soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
