Rouen Winter

Monet Monet FabricROUENWIN

Rouen Winter brings a cool, painterly palette of blue, ivory, charcoal and muted ochre to a tightly repeating geometric design. Its textured woven surface gives the pattern a softly brushed, artisanal character.

About this fabric

The design combines mirrored diamond forms, pointed arches and irregular brush-like marks, creating a rhythmic ikat-style effect across the cloth. Blue and blue-grey passages provide the dominant cool tone, while chalky ivory, charcoal and small ochre accents add contrast and depth. The visible woven texture softens the graphic geometry, keeping the overall impression layered rather than sharply hard-edged. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Rouen Winter on an occasional chair, bench or full-length curtain where its cool blue ground can balance warm timber and the ochre details can echo aged brass or tan leather.

Pair the cool blue and chalky ivory tones with natural wood, charcoal or aged brass for a layered scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
