Saisons Summer

Monet Monet FabricSSNSSUM

Saisons Summer has an ivory ground scattered with loose, painterly marks in deep plum, ink blue, olive, taupe and black. The effect is richly layered, with the pale background keeping the colour story bright rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a cool, softly faded composition, combining concentrated navy and black accents with dusty purple, olive and warm taupe. The irregular clustered marks suggest petals, leaves or brush-loaded pigment, while the open ivory areas give the pattern room to breathe. Its fine-looking, smooth surface and fluid visual rhythm make it particularly suited to drapery, where the varied colour can shift gently as the cloth moves.

How to use it

Hang Saisons Summer at full length in a room with warm ivory walls and simple upholstered pieces, allowing its plum, blue and olive flecks to supply the colour. Echo the deeper navy and purple notes in cushions or painted furniture for a collected, painterly scheme.

Use the lively ivory, plum and inky-blue palette to bring painterly movement to calm, tailored rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
