About this fabric

The black background gives the design a deep, theatrical character, while cobalt, turquoise, green and plum details bring concentrated colour to each peacock. Fine cream flowers and curling stems punctuate the darker ground, adding small flashes of light between the larger birds and clustered berries. A visible crosshatched surface lends the textile a tactile, woven appearance suited to substantial upholstery. No composition, width, rub test or other performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it on a statement chair, upholstered bench or occasional footstool where the black ground can frame its teal, blue and green plumage. Pair with plain velvet or linen in charcoal, deep teal or muted olive to support the colour without competing with the motif.

Use this dramatic black-ground design to bring jewel-toned colour and ornamental depth to statement upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
