Rouen Autumn combines teal, plum, charcoal and ivory in a compact geometric repeat with an expressive, painterly surface. The colourway has a cool mineral base, enlivened by deep berry-purple accents.

About this fabric

The design is built from mirrored, ikat-like motifs, pointed diamonds and softened arches, with irregular edges that give the repeat a hand-rendered character. Teal and blue-green areas bring cool clarity, while plum, charcoal and grey add smoky depth against the pale ivory ground. The visible face has a lightly textured, mottled appearance rather than a flat, uniform finish. No performance features or further specification data are supplied for this fabric, so suitability should be confirmed against the intended upholstery or drapery application.

How to use it

Pair Rouen Autumn with pale stone upholstery, charcoal-painted furniture or muted teal accessories to draw out its cooler tones. Plum cushions or a deep grey plain can echo the darker motifs without competing with the repeat.

Use this richly coloured pattern to bring teal, plum and charcoal accents into upholstery or coordinated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
