Emily's Bouquet Madder

The Arthur Portfolio FabricEMLYBQUTMDDR

Emily's Bouquet Madder is built on a deep, warm madder-red ground, densely arranged with flowering branches and clustered blooms. Cream, pink and lilac details create lively contrast against the dark red field.

About this fabric

The madder ground has a richly saturated, wine-red appearance, with a subtly visible woven texture that gives the surface depth rather than a flat printed look. Twisting ochre-brown branches carry small cream and olive-toned blossom clusters across the repeat. Larger pink-and-cream flowers are framed by pointed lilac-blue leaves, adding cool flashes to the otherwise warm, earthy palette. The medium-scale botanical arrangement reads as decorative and formal, with enough visual depth to make this colourway especially suited to statement seating, cushions or full-length curtains. No performance features or further specification data have been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair the deep madder-red ground with aged timber, warm neutrals and brass accents for a richly layered room. The lilac leaves and cream flowers can also be picked out in cushions or painted joinery to soften the pattern's dramatic depth.

A richly patterned madder-red floral for bringing warmth, ornament and historic character to upholstery or drapery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Emily's Bouquet Madder without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
