Castus Espresso

Aqueous Performance FabricCCF0803-03

Castus Espresso combines a deep, warm brown ground with a closely packed pattern of softly rounded pebble-like forms. Fine horizontal lines within the weave give the dark colour subtle movement rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This 360 gsm woven fabric has a rich espresso tone, threaded with charcoal and muted taupe-brown flecks that become more visible across the surface. Its irregular oval and pebble motif is compact yet clearly textured, creating a quietly patterned appearance without sharp contrast. The fabric has a 28 cm vertical repeat and 35 cm horizontal repeat, while its 24 threads per cm contribute to the dense, tactile look visible in the swatch. With a useable width of 140 cm and a standard length of 35 m, it is well suited to considered upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Castus Espresso on a tailored armchair, sofa or dining seat where its warm, near-black brown depth can anchor lighter timber, aged leather and softly neutral walls. The tonal pebble weave also works well for adding restrained pattern to a darker, contemporary scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
