Monarch Chartreuse
Botanist FabricCCF0511-01
Monarch Chartreuse pairs a pale, muted chartreuse ground with softly layered botanical silhouettes, butterflies and small bees. The fine horizontal surface texture gives the light background a quiet depth while the illustrated insects provide sharper points of contrast.

About this fabric
The colourway reads as a restrained yellow-green softened with warm grey, rather than a bright or highly saturated chartreuse. Large butterflies are picked out in charcoal, cream and muted yellow, while leafy stems and fern-like forms appear in tonal translucent layers across the ground. At 308gsm and 138cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to upholstery and drapery. The botanical layout has a 97.5cm vertical repeat and 69cm horizontal repeat, which should be allowed for when positioning the butterflies and foliage.
How to use it
Use Monarch Chartreuse on a reading-chair, bench or relaxed curtain where its softened green tone can sit alongside warm neutrals, pale timber and charcoal accents. The darker butterfly details also make it easy to connect the fabric with blackened metal or ink-coloured accessories.
Use the soft chartreuse ground to bring a gentle botanical accent to upholstery, curtains or cushions without overwhelming a room.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Monarch Chartreuse without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
