Serengeti Noir

Breegan Jane x Clarke and Clarke Fabric FabricCCF0785-03

Serengeti Noir layers charcoal, taupe and ivory across a softly textured woven surface. Its horizontal, painterly bands are broken by fine vertical striations, giving the dark colourway a weathered, dimensional character.

About this fabric

The ground shifts between warm ivory and muted taupe, while irregular charcoal bands create smoky horizontal movement rather than a sharply defined motif. Fine vertical threads remain visible through the design, adding a dry, brushed texture to the mid-weight cloth. With a 196gsm weight and 138cm usable width, it is suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 67cm vertical and 68cm horizontal pattern repeats allow the broad banding to be positioned with intention, and the standard length is 35m.

How to use it

Pair Serengeti Noir with chalky neutrals, weathered timber and charcoal accents to echo its ivory ground and smoky bands. On a sofa or occasional chair, its layered taupe depth can soften a predominantly monochrome scheme; as curtains, the horizontal pattern brings a quiet graphic rhythm.

Use this softly layered neutral weave to add depth to upholstery, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
