Pokot Noir

Breegan Jane x Clarke and Clarke Fabric FabricCCF0777-04

Pokot Noir has a densely mottled surface of dark, irregular ring-like markings set against a warm taupe ground. Its close-scale pattern reads as textured and graphic rather than an oversized animal print.

About this fabric

Woven at 488gsm, Pokot Noir has the substantial handle suited to upholstery, with a 137cm usable width for covering seating and furniture pieces. The colourway combines near-black and deep charcoal marks with a softly warm taupe background, creating noticeable depth across the cloth. Its 56cm vertical and 34.5cm horizontal pattern repeats keep the spotted design tightly distributed, so the surface remains richly patterned without a large open motif. A standard length of 35m makes it practical for coordinated upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use Pokot Noir on a statement armchair, ottoman or compact sofa where its warm taupe base can soften the contrast of the dark markings. Pair it with plain charcoal, tan or aged-brass accents to echo the cloth’s smoky depth without competing with the pattern.

A substantial taupe-and-black woven with a dense, graphic spotted texture for statement upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Pokot Noir without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
