Sutton Navy

Edgeworth FabricCCF0024-02

Sutton Navy is a finely striped fabric in a cool, muted navy set against a soft ivory ground. The closely spaced lines create a crisp vertical rhythm, while the woven surface gives the colour subtle depth rather than a flat blue finish.

About this fabric

The 214 gsm fabric shows narrow navy and ivory lines running continuously across the swatch, with no vertical pattern repeat and a 1 cm horizontal repeat. Its 140 cm usable width makes the small-scale stripe practical for both upholstered pieces and window treatments. The navy reads deep and tailored beside the pale ground, while tiny variations in the weave soften the contrast under changing light. Each standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Use Sutton Navy to add cool, structured definition to an occasional chair, bench or tailored blind, pairing it with warm ivory, pale timber and restrained brass. Its fine stripe can also give curtains a clean vertical lift without introducing a bold motif.

The cool navy-and-ivory stripe brings tailored definition to upholstery, blinds or curtains without overwhelming a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
