About this fabric

Sutton Red is built from narrow vertical lines: a saturated raspberry-red stripe sits beside a fine ivory ground, creating a crisp, closely spaced rhythm. The close-up shows a small woven grain rather than a flat surface, and the cream breaks up the red so it does not read as a solid block. At 214 gsm, the cloth has a versatile mid-weight presence, with a 140 cm usable width for planning larger cuts. The pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and just 1 cm horizontally, and the standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Use Sutton Red where a room needs a tailored lift without the visual weight of a solid crimson: its narrow vertical lines suit a neat blind, curtain or occasional upholstered chair. Warm ivory walls and natural timber will reinforce the cream ground while allowing the raspberry stripes to remain the accent.

The closely spaced vertical stripes bring a crisp, tailored rhythm to upholstered pieces or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
