Jaipur Spice

Jaipur Chenille FabricCCF0859-36

Jaipur Spice has a warm, earthy terracotta tone, shown here in a densely woven chenille with a softly tactile surface. Its even colour is enlivened by fine shifts in the weave, giving the spice shade depth rather than a flat painted appearance.

About this fabric

At 456gsm, this is a substantial textile with the visual weight and close construction suited to upholstery. The 69 threads-per-centimetre weave creates a fine, understated texture, while the rusted terracotta colour reads warm and gently muted under the light. With a usable width of 137cm, a standard length of 35m and zero vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be planned as a continuous plain ground without matching a motif.

How to use it

Use Jaipur Spice to bring a grounded, sun-warmed note to a sofa, armchair or dining seat, pairing its terracotta depth with aged wood, sand-toned neutrals or darker brown accents. The plain, no-repeat construction also works well on clean, tailored upholstery shapes.

A substantial terracotta chenille weave for upholstered seating and tailored occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
