Martello Rouge is a deep, muted burgundy-red woven fabric with a softly irregular surface. Fine intersecting threads create a subtle crosshatched texture, giving the colour gentle variation rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The rouge tone sits between berry red and aged burgundy, with darker and lighter threads visible across the surface as the light moves over it. Its quietly striƩ-like weave has no printed motif, reflected in the supplied 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats. At 300gsm, it has the substance of a versatile mid-weight textile, while the 144cm usable width supports practical upholstery and drapery applications. The supplied standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Martello Rouge to add a grounded, warm-red accent to an armchair, headboard or full-length curtain. Pair its softened burgundy depth with warm timber, aged brass, cream linen or charcoal accents so the woven texture remains visible.

Its muted burgundy-red ground and fine woven texture bring depth to upholstery, curtains and coordinating soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
