About this fabric

The plain woven face shows fine vertical and horizontal texture, creating a gently irregular surface rather than a printed motif; both pattern repeats are 0cm. In this Spice colourway, the terracotta shifts between russet brown and ember-like red as the light moves across the weave. Weighing 300gsm, it has the substance for upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery. The 144cm usable width and 40m standard length provide practical coverage for larger furnishing projects.

How to use it

Use Martello Spice to warm an otherwise neutral room on an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard, or bring its earthy rust tone into full-length curtains. Pair it with chalky creams, tobacco leather, dark timber and muted olive for a layered, grounded scheme.

A warm, softly textured terracotta textile that brings depth to upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
