Delvoye Velvet Linen

Metropolitan Fabrics VelvetCCF0806-02

Delvoye Velvet Linen has a pale ivory ground traced with fine, irregular taupe lines that rise and fall in softly organic wave formations. Its plush surface gives the light cream colour a gentle, tactile depth rather than a flat white appearance.

About this fabric

The pattern is a quietly abstract arrangement of narrow, undulating striations, with the warm taupe detail creating subtle movement across the ivory velvet. This colourway reads light, warm and restrained, while the raised pile catches the light softly along the flowing marks. With a substantial 601 gsm weight and 137 cm usable width, it is well suited to upholstered furniture. The design has a 24.5 cm vertical repeat and 34.2 cm horizontal repeat, and is supplied in a standard 35 m length.

How to use it

Use this ivory-and-taupe colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its pale warmth can soften deeper timber and stone tones. Pair it with oatmeal, putty and warm grey textiles to echo the restrained movement of the woven pattern.

Use this softly veined ivory velvet to bring understated warmth and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
