Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0810-01

Hatoum Jacquard Ink combines cool ink blue-grey with softened taupe, ivory and charcoal in a richly layered woven pattern. Its painterly paisley and scroll forms give the surface depth without the colour becoming stark.

About this fabric

The jacquard surface is visibly textured, with curling paisley-like forms, small scroll details and mottled tonal shading rather than a flat printed appearance. Ink blue-grey dominates the pattern, while warm taupe and pale ivory threads soften the cooler ground and charcoal accents add definition. At 274 gsm, the cloth has a versatile mid-weight suited to both upholstery and drapery. Its 141 cm usable width is paired with a 65 cm vertical repeat and 47 cm horizontal repeat, making the medium-scale design clear across a larger drop or upholstered panel.

How to use it

Use this cool, softened Ink colourway to add quiet pattern to a reading chair, headboard or full-length curtains, pairing it with chalky neutrals, weathered wood and charcoal accents. The taupe flecks help it sit comfortably with warmer furnishings while the blue-grey keeps the overall scheme composed.

A quietly ornate blue-grey jacquard that brings layered paisley movement to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hatoum Jacquard Ink without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
