Gormley Jacquard Noir

Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0809-03

Gormley Jacquard Noir combines a deep charcoal-black ground with fine taupe-grey lines tracing an interlocking maze of rounded square forms. The close, rhythmic geometry gives the swatch a distinctly architectural character, while the jacquard weave adds visible surface depth.

About this fabric

This substantial 430gsm textile is well suited to upholstery, where its dark ground and sharply defined linear pattern can create a strong graphic focal point. The design repeats every 34cm vertically and horizontally, forming linked, turning motifs rather than a directional floral or conventional stripe. In the swatch, the taupe-grey lines catch the light against the near-black background, softening the contrast without losing the pattern’s depth. It is supplied at a 136cm usable width with a standard length of 35m.

How to use it

Use Noir on a tailored armchair, bench or sofa to anchor a room with charcoal depth and a precise geometric rhythm. Balance the dark jacquard with warm timber, brushed metal or quiet neutral upholstery so the taupe-grey linework remains legible.

Use this dark, graphic jacquard to bring crisp architectural definition to upholstered seating and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
