Metropolitan Fabrics VelvetCCF0806-03

Delvoye Velvet Noir brings a striking black-and-ivory wave pattern to a plush velvet ground. Its tightly rippling lines create a high-contrast, almost topographical effect across the surface.

About this fabric

The Noir colourway pairs deep black, ink-like lines with a warm ivory ground, giving the design strong contrast without losing the softness of the velvet texture. The repeated forms rise and fall in narrow vertical waves, while the pile catches light subtly between the darker contours. At 601gsm, this is a substantial velvet with a 137cm usable width, well suited to upholstered furniture. The pattern repeat measures 24.5cm vertically by 34.2cm horizontally, allowing the flowing motif to remain clearly visible across a larger piece.

How to use it

Use this black-and-ivory colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa, balancing its graphic movement with plain ivory, charcoal or warm timber accents. Position it where changing light can reveal the velvet's softly shifting surface.

A dramatic black-and-ivory velvet for statement upholstery, where its rippling pattern can take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
