Albi Noir

Metropolitan Fabrics FabricCCF0121-01

Albi Noir brings a sharply defined black-and-ivory geometric pattern to the Metropolitan Fabrics collection. Its dense, finely textured surface reads as graphic and structured, with the pale ground making each dark interlocking motif stand out.

About this fabric

The small-scale pattern is formed by repeated angular, interlocking shapes in deep black and warm ivory, creating a precise tessellated effect across the cloth. At 548 gsm, this is a substantial fabric with the visual and physical presence suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 1.8 cm vertically and 3.5 cm horizontally, keeping the design tightly articulated rather than oversized. A 140 cm usable width and 40 m standard length are supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Albi Noir on a clean-lined armchair, dining seat or contemporary sofa where its cool, high-contrast geometry can act as the room’s graphic focus. Pair it with ivory upholstery plains and black or dark timber accents to echo the pattern’s clear tonal contrast.

Use this high-contrast black-and-ivory weave to give contemporary upholstery a graphic, tailored finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
