About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke fabric weighs 401gsm, giving it the substantial presence expected of an upholstery textile. Its 140cm usable width is patterned with a 23cm vertical and horizontal repeat, forming repeated octagonal turns within the dark linear framework. The ivory ground reads softly warm, while the near-black bands appear dense and tactile, with fine lighter details visible along their edges. The restrained two-tone palette makes the geometry feel smart and architectural rather than decorative or ornate.

How to use it

Use Asra Noir on a structured armchair, bench or occasional seat where its near-black angular lines can stand out against the ivory ground. Pair it with black-painted timber or metal and warm ivory upholstery plains to echo the colour contrast without competing with the repeat.
