Leyburn Spice

Richmond FabricCCF0133-06

Leyburn Spice pairs a softly beige woven ground with a deep, warm burgundy-red damask. The scrolling stems, curling leaves and stylised floral medallions create a formal pattern with a gently softened, tactile finish.

About this fabric

The design is formed from symmetrical scrolling foliage and pointed floral motifs, with the spice-red pattern standing clearly against the pale beige ground. Its warm red tone reads as muted rather than bright, while the visible woven texture gives the ground subtle depth and keeps the damask from looking flat. Weighing 311gsm and measuring 137cm usable width, it is a substantial furnishing fabric suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 31.7cm vertically and 34.2cm horizontally, and the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Leyburn Spice on a shaped armchair, dining chair or occasional sofa where its burgundy-red damask can act as the room’s main pattern. Pair it with warm beige, aged wood and muted terracotta accents to bring out the colourway’s softly traditional character.

Use this warm burgundy-and-beige damask to bring traditional pattern and richly muted colour to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
