Richmond Charcoal

Richmond FabricCCF0139-01

Richmond Charcoal pairs a pale warm-grey textile ground with large, softly shaded flowers traced in deep charcoal. The tonal contrast gives the floral design a quiet, softly aged depth rather than a stark monochrome effect.

About this fabric

The large blooms are outlined in charcoal grey, with smoky grey shading through their petals and fine cream botanical stems on the lighter ground. Its visibly textured surface and substantial 406gsm weight give the design a grounded feel well suited to upholstery. The fabric has a 137cm usable width, with a 48cm vertical repeat and 43cm horizontal repeat for planning the floral placement across a chair, headboard or sofa. The standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Richmond Charcoal on a tailored armchair or sofa where its warm grey-beige ground can soften the stronger charcoal flower edges. Pair it with chalk, stone and natural wood for a calm scheme, or add blackened metal for sharper definition.

Use the pale warm-grey ground and charcoal floral outlines to bring quiet contrast to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
