About this fabric

This Jane Churchill fabric is supplied as a 138cm-wide textile with a small repeat of approximately V 3cm and H 2cm, making the pattern read as a tightly controlled surface rather than a bold motif. The composition blends 27% Polyester, 25% Cotton, 22% Viscose, 17% Linen, 6% Wool and 3% Polyamide, which helps explain the fabric’s slightly dry, woven hand and the subtle tonal variation visible across the swatch. Taplow Beige sits in a warm beige family with a biscuit tone and a gentle golden cast, so the tiny geometric structure is visible without feeling busy. With no performance features noted and a fire code of K, it has a polished but natural look that feels refined rather than heavy.

How to use it

Use this beige colourway on a small armchair, banquette or Roman blind where the neat repeat can add texture without dominating. It pairs especially well with oak, chalk white and muted brown finishes.

A quiet neutral with a crisp small-scale texture that suits tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
