Robin Indigo

Boscombe FabricJ0135-06

Robin Indigo is a cool, softly muted blue colourway with a crisp, finely repeated pattern that reads neatly across the cloth. The weave has a lightly dappled, almost chalked surface that keeps the indigo tone from feeling too hard or saturated.

About this fabric

This Boscombe fabric by Jane Churchill is composed of 52% viscose, 36% cotton, 9% linen and 3% polyester, with an approximate width of 142cm and a vertical repeat of 1cm / horizontal repeat of 2cm. The small-scale chevron-like motif is tightly worked and visible as narrow, alternating lines rather than a bold stripe, giving the cloth a disciplined, tailored look. In this Robin Indigo colourway, the blue sits in a softened mid-tone range with greyed, slightly silvery undertones that lighten the overall effect. The surface texture appears dry, refined and gently textured rather than plush, making it suitable for both upholstery and curtains. It is also suitable where a subtle pattern is needed without strong contrast or glare.

How to use it

Use Robin Indigo on a sofa, bench or occasional chair to bring a cool, composed note to a room. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky neutrals and deeper navy accents for a layered, restrained scheme.

A cool, finely patterned blue that works neatly on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
