About this fabric

This Boscombe fabric by Jane Churchill has a small repeating geometric pattern that reads almost like a miniature lattice from a distance, becoming more textured and broken up close. The blue tone is muted rather than bright, with a softened denim quality and darker flecks that add depth across the cloth. At approximately 138cm wide and woven in a blend of 27% polyester, 25% cotton, 22% viscose, 17% linen, 6% wool and 3% polyamide, it has the kind of balanced handle suited to either upholstery or drapery. The repeat is V 3cm / H 2cm approx, and the fabric is rated K, with care code Q 8 < T 3.

How to use it

Use Taplow Blue on an accent chair, ottoman or tailored cushions where its cool blue surface can bring quiet structure to a room. It also works well in blinds or side curtains, especially alongside pale oak, chalk white or brushed metal finishes.

A neat, small-scale blue weave that feels tailored and easy to live with.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
