Taplow Grey

Boscombe FabricJ0136-05

Taplow Grey has a finely textured, small-scale geometric look that reads as softly speckled from a distance. The overall effect is a calm, stone-grey neutral with a cool, tailored feel.

About this fabric

Woven in the Boscombe collection by Jane Churchill, this fabric is a versatile mid-weight textile with a 138cm approximate width and a repeat of V 3cm / H 2cm approx. Its blend of 27% polyester, 25% cotton, 22% viscose, 17% linen, 6% wool and 3% polyamide gives the surface a crisp yet softly handled character. In Taplow Grey, the tiny pattern appears as a dense peppering of pale grey and darker charcoal threads, creating a restrained, two-tone depth rather than a flat solid. The finish feels smart and practical, with enough texture to bring interest without overpowering a room.

How to use it

Use it for tailored upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains where a quiet pattern is wanted in place of plain grey. It sits especially well with limestone, warm wood and blackened metal, letting the cool grey ground sharpen the scheme.

Pairs neatly with pale oak, chalky neutrals and graphite accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
