Taplow Red

Boscombe FabricJ0136-01

Taplow Red shows a finely worked geometric pattern in a soft, muted berry red with lighter woven highlights that soften the overall look. The effect is neat and textural, with a tailored feel rather than a bold, block red statement.

About this fabric

From the Boscombe collection by Jane Churchill, Taplow Red is a fabric with a small-scale geometric weave and an approximate repeat of V 3cm / H 2cm. The colour reads as a warm, dusky red with rose and linen-toned flecks that lift the surface and give it depth. At approximately 138cm wide and woven in a blend of 27% Polyester, 25% Cotton, 22% Viscose, 17% Linen, 6% Wool and 3% Polyamide, it has the character of a practical upholstery textile with a refined finish. The close pattern and softly mottled colour make it feel smart, structured and quietly decorative.

How to use it

Use Taplow Red on a compact armchair, stool or dining chair where its small repeat and muted berry tone can add warmth without overpowering the room. It sits well with oak, tobacco leather, aged brass and creamy neutrals.

A finely patterned red that feels tailored and easy to live with.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
