About this fabric

Kashmar Blue from the Canya collection by Jane Churchill is a patterned fabric with a generous repeat of approximately V 58cm and H 34cm, giving the octagonal motifs a rhythmic, tiled look across the cloth. The composition of 68% polyester, 25% viscose and 7% linen suggests a practical woven handle with a softer finish than a purely synthetic cloth. Visually, the colourway mixes clear sky blue and turquoise with touches of lilac and olive on a warm ivory ground, so the overall effect is cool-toned but not stark. The woven texture reads lightly textural rather than flat, which helps the geometric and foliate details feel defined without looking heavy. With a width of approximately 136cm and care code Q 8 + T 3, it is a versatile specification for interior use.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that need a lift, especially against painted whites, pale oak and brushed metal finishes. Use it for a headboard, occasional chair or relaxed curtains where the blue-and-aqua pattern can add freshness without darkening the space.

Use it for statement upholstery or curtains where the pale ground and crisp blue pattern can brighten a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
