Caron Blue is a softly mottled blue cloth with a calm, slate-toned finish and a subtle woven texture. The surface reads gently heathered rather than flat, giving the colour a refined, lived-in depth.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a cool blue-grey ground with lighter and darker thread movement across the weave, so the surface has a quiet, brushed look rather than a solid block of colour. At approximately 141cm wide, it is composed of 48% viscose, 30% cotton and 22% polyester, which helps explain the smooth but slightly dry hand visible in the cloth. The repeat is vertical 0cm and horizontal 0cm approximately, so the design presents as a plain-textured fabric rather than a patterned one. The overall effect is restrained and smart, with enough tonal variation to keep large areas from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use Caron Blue on a sofa, armchair or bench for a tailored look, or hang it at the window where the cool slate tone will soften daylight. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalk white and deeper navy accents.

A cool, versatile blue that works neatly on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
