Longwood Ebony

Longwood FabricL9380-02

Longwood Ebony pairs a softly luminous cream ground with crisp black stitched stripes that read clean and graphic. The surface has a tactile, slightly shaggy handle that gives the pattern a gentle softness rather than a sharp contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in a substantial blend of 41% Wool, 31% Polyamide, 14% Mohair and 14% Alpaca, Longwood Ebony has the kind of body and texture that suits upholstery beautifully. The stripes run across the fabric in a measured horizontal rhythm, with a repeat of approximately V 17cm and H 1cm, creating a calm banded effect. In this colourway the creamy base feels warm and mellow, while the narrow black detailing adds a refined edge without overpowering the cloth. At approximately 145cm wide and marked with fire code Z, it offers a smart, tailored look for statement seating or decorative cushions.

How to use it

This ivory-and-black palette works well in rooms that need a lighter upholstery with just enough contrast to sharpen the scheme. Pair it with dark wood, painted joinery or charcoal accents to echo the stitched stripes and keep the look crisp.

Use on tailored seating or boxed cushions to let the dark stitched stripes stand out against the creamy pile.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
