About this fabric

This colourway combines a pale birch-toned ground with slightly darker beige lines, so the interlocking rectangular motif feels structured but still gentle. The surface has a textile softness rather than a hard graphic finish, which suits the 49% viscose, 35% polyester and 16% cotton composition. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a practical fabric for a range of interior applications, and the repeated V 38cm / H 35cm motif gives the pattern a steady, tailored rhythm. The overall effect is calm and smart, with enough movement in the weave-like print to stop the palette from looking flat.

How to use it

Use it on a statement chair, ottoman or tailored cushions where the warm neutral ground can soften sharper furniture lines. It also works well in a layered scheme with oak, oatmeal and chalky whites, letting the geometric repeat add quiet structure.

Pair with pale timber, linen and brushed metals to keep the woven grid looking crisp and calm.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Albers Birch without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
